The Umpqua's Fish Watcher.

As anglers we get to experience all kinds of river and fish abuse. Snagging and overflowing limits seem to be the rule of the day for some areas, with no one observe these crimes but everyday honest anglers. We thoughtfully release our quarry after working damn hard to get it, holding it in the current until it catches it's breath while the poacher downstream chucks an "old boot salmon" back in the river to die at the bottom.
after reading about the Umpqua's fish watcher at the famous "Dynamite hole" i felt a brief glimmer of hope. at least one spot on one river is protected from the hoards.
read the rag, watch the movie and find a way to become a steward for your favorite bend in the river.
